West Tampa Tobacco adds New Limited Edition Line

October 11, 2022 Billie 1 min read

Earlier this year Rick Rodriguez launched his new cigar brand, West Tampa Tobacco, with two blends coming from the Garmendia Cigar Co. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. And now there is a new, limited-edition line, the Attic Series with a Mexican San Andres wrapper.

“Attic Series will be an ongoing project that will allow Rick to take you on a journey through his life by delivering blends and stories that he has kept locked away in his ‘attic’ for nearly 30 years,” the company said cryptically.

The first instalment is called Attic and will be a 6×54 Toro with a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Nicaraguan filler and binder. The blend is medium-to-full-bodied and will come in boxes of 14 cigars. According to the company, the packaging is decorated with Easter eggs found throughout the box and bands. The shadowy image of an old chaveta resting against a lone chair in an attic, for example, is a nod to Rodriguez’s grandfather, who made cigars in both Cuba and West Tampa. There are only 2000 boxes available and retailers can order only 5 at a time.
