Wooden Indian Marks 20 Years of Ownership With Supreme Leaf Gran Robusto Parejo

September 17, 2025 Inspector X 2 min read

Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop is celebrating a milestone this year, marking 20 years since Dave Mayer took ownership. To honour the occasion, AGANORSA Leaf has crafted a special edition of its popular Supreme Leaf line.

A Special Anniversary Release

The commemorative cigar is called the Supreme Leaf Gran Robusto Parejo, though regulars may also hear it referred to as the Supreme Leaf Dave’s 20th Anniversary.

This cigar measures 5 x 56 and shares the same dimensions as the Gran Robusto released in February 2024 for the shop’s 60th anniversary. The difference lies in the shape: that cigar was box-pressed, while this celebratory version is round.

Like the rest of the Supreme Leaf line, the Gran Robusto Parejo is a Nicaraguan puro made entirely with tobaccos grown on AGANORSA Leaf farms.

Release Details

  • Vitola: 5 x 56 Gran Robusto Parejo

  • Blend: 100% Nicaraguan

  • Price: $13.50 per cigar / $135 per box of 10

  • Production: 500 boxes

  • Availability: In-store and online at Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop

Terence Reilly, VP of Sales at AGANORSA Leaf, called the release a fitting tribute to Mayer’s two decades of stewardship, citing the cigar as a symbol of quality and tradition.

The Supreme Leaf Legacy

The Gran Robusto Parejo joins an esteemed line of vitolas under the Supreme Leaf banner, which has grown since its debut in 2020. Releases include robustos, toros, coronas, torpedoes, and even special formats like the Royal Perfecto and Gran Toro introduced earlier this year.

Wooden Indian’s History

Founded in 1959 as The Tobacco Chest, the shop first opened in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. After a move to the Manoa Shopping Center, it adopted the name Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop.

Mayer, a customer since the early days, purchased the shop in 2005 after retiring from his investment career. Under his leadership, the store expanded its humidor selection, relocated in 2010, opened an online storefront, and became home to the first Drew Estate Liga Privada lounge.

This celebratory release underscores both Mayer’s impact and Wooden Indian’s enduring place in cigar culture.
